TASNIA ALAM HANNAN

Tasnia Alam Hannan is a distinguished educator, policy expert, and social entrepreneur dedicated to driving sustainable social change. As the Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Arise Foundation, she leads innovative programs that empower at-risk and disadvantaged women, focusing on economic independence and long-term recovery from domestic and financial abuse. 

 

In addition to her leadership at Arise Foundation, Tasnia is a Lecturer at the Centre for Social Impact, UNSW, where she teaches and develops courses on social impact investing, social entrepreneurship, and impact measurement. With a strong background in public policy, she has previously held key roles at NSW Treasury, shaping policies on economic justice, sustainability, and social infrastructure.

 

Tasnia’s contributions to social impact and leadership have been widely recognised, including her selection in the 40 Under 40 Asian Australian Leadership Awards. She is currently pursuing a PhD in the School of Law at Western Sydney University, further deepening her expertise in social finance, impact investing, and economic justice.
