EVELINE KUANG

Eveline holds an LLM, BCom/BLaws from the Australian National University and the University of Canberra (respectively). Eveline is a Senior Associate at top tier international law firm King & Wood Mallesons, working in the mergers & acquisitions team and specialising in foreign investment. Prior to joining King & Wood Mallesons in 2020, she spent almost 10 years’ working in the Commonwealth Government – most recently as a legislative adviser in national security and a policy adviser in foreign investment and critical infrastructure.

Eveline was honoured to be announced as a YAIA Young Women to Watch in International Affairs in 2021. As many organisations are now coming to understand, youth are not the future, they are the present. As a Canberran, former public servant and long-time foreign investment expert, she believes it is crucial that we continue to inspire and encourage more young Australians to contribute in the international affairs landscape.

Eveline is a committee member on the ACT branches of the Asian Australian Lawyers Association and Australia China Business Council.  Eveline is also a volunteer with the Australian Red Cross and a qualified yoga teacher, teaching in Canberra yoga studios.
